Windows Agent

Agent installation

The Windows agent is the component that collects activity from each machine and sends it to the platform. It must be installed on every PC you want to monitor.

Requirements

Windows 10 or higher.
Administrator permissions on the machine to run the installer.
Internet connection so the agent can send data.

Installation steps

1

On the Devices page, click the orange button to open the installation wizard.

2

Download the .exe installer from the modal. The enrollment token is already embedded in the file.

3

Run the installer on each machine with administrator permissions, or deploy it silently using your IT team's tools. If you need help, contact support.

4

The agent starts for the first time and registers automatically. If the Windows username doesn't exist in the platform, a user is created with username matching the detected windows_username (e.g. alopez) and a provisional email generated as username@company. The employee can complete their real details from the agent icon in the taskbar.

5

The machine appears as Pending approval in Devices. Click Activate.

6

The employee receives a notification to accept the monitoring terms and conditions. Until accepted, the device remains in Pending signature status.

7

The agent receives confirmation and starts sending data. The first data appears in the dashboard within ~5 minutes.

Agent behaviour

Runs automatically on Windows startup in the background.
Sends an activity summary every 5 minutes.
Sends a heartbeat every 10 minutes to confirm it is active.
If there is no connection, data is saved in a local queue and resent when connectivity is restored.
Only one instance can be active per Windows session.
If a machine has multiple Windows users, each user needs their own agent instance. The agent automatically detects the active user in each session.
